Hi Tom, It is extremely unlikely that the SC upgrade had anything to do with this setup failure. See this URL:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libooc-x11/+bug/93715 You could follow the workaround in this bug report (creating a dummy file in the location), which should allow the SC installation to continue. Simply put, in Ubuntu and Debian, if a package has a configuration error you can leave the system in a partially configured state where other packages have not completed their install.
