Running PERL-AFTER-UPGRADE -F
didn't solve the issue here. I'm using portupgrade, not portmaster, and no idea what is comparable to -portmaster --check-depends- (perhaps pkgdb?). I came across the -rebuild-xs- target in /usr/ports/lang/perl5.8/Makefile - calling that seems to have solved the issue for me. From http://www.freshports.org/lang/perl5.8/: > > Add rebuild-xs target which should be used when > perl-after-upgrade does not do its job adequately.
