Thanks.

As you say, I believe squeezecenter is running in the background.
However:

1. Firefox says it cannot connect to http://localhost:9000. I
understand localhost should be 127.0.0.1, so also tried
http://127.0.0.1:9000, which also failed.

2. /sbin/service squeezecenter stop resulted in message: "Stopping
SqueezeCenter ...... [Failed]"

3. When I shut Fedora down, amongst the text flying by is the same
message "Stopping SqueezeCenter ...... [Failed]"

I have squeezeCenter on a windows box connected to my network (my
current setup), but I had stopped squeezeCenter on that machine.

My squeezebox 2 was registerring no connection. But I was able to
establish a connection with my remote, which must be to my new
computer. But of course I have not set up a library on my new
computer.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Randy
