Hmm, can you check... ($ = console)
1. brutefir works: $brutefir
should output brutefir version
2. you configured a some stuff via the web frontend, (Options -->
Plugins --> BrutfirDRC)
what did you use for "Filters directory:", "BruteFIR filter link dir:"
and "Filter file extension:"?
the filter directory should contain your filter configuration files
with the extension configured. If you can choose the filters from this
directory via the remote in the brutefir menu everything should be
fine. The link directory is important, the plugin will create a symlink
to your choosen filter configuration file in this directory. This
symlink is used in the processing.
3. Make sure that you have filter configuration files in configured
dir
4. the extension of filter configuration is correct
5. the link dir exists, a symlink to your choosen filter is there
6. make sure that the pcm files for left and right channel in your
filter configuration have no relative path and exist.

If this is not the problem I need to get into the python stuff or
better ask Toby what the issue could be.
