I do all squeezeslave development using a linux 2.4 kernel. Does you're
old system support MMX?
Run this command from a terminal windows;

If it prints a line which includes mmx, I can create a current
statically linked version with OSS support and place it on sf.net. I'm
still trying to determine which binary versions of squeezeslave to
release. Perhaps I should start including this one again.
