There is a new sheevainstaller available (www.plugcomputer.org) which makes it very easy, also for windows users, to install ubuntu on the plug or on an attached SD-card/USB device. Thereafter just follow the few steps from the slimdevices wiki and you have setup a very nice squeezecenter server which consumes just 3 watts.
