Okey, I thought the answer was something along these lines. But how do
I do this (far from a linux expert, I'm afraid).

Just search for ia32-libs in the softwarecenter on the desktop?

Or ask for "apt-get install ia32-libs" in the Terminal?

I had a 64-bit version of ubuntu 9.10 earlier also, but this time I
used "the alternate install CD" because of the Raid-setup. Perhaps this
time the necessary software for transcoding didn't came along.
