In this case, though, it seems to be 'dns round robin' in that a DNS
lookup will result in one of the three items listed being used.
Perhaps if I queried from somewhere else I would get a different
response... but the items returned should be consistent (ie, if in NA,
return these values, in EU return these.) Ie, a given user will,
excepting in the case of failure ("the EU data center exploded, quick,
kill that off and return the NA address for everyone!") see the same
selection of hosts.
So the problem is still "one of the three hosts in the round robin
setup got behind in the mirroring."
CDN's and RRDNS fail if the sites are not consistent in their data.
Ie, if the 'Release' file from one server says the current versions is
r30657, yet another server has not yet been updated to have that
release, well, then you see what the orginal poster saw.
