Found various messages in the squeezeboxserver log about contact issues with the server, ending with ¨falling back to 127.0.0.1¨.
I found that I could open the browser interface to squeezeboxserver on the host computer via: http://127.0.0.1:9000 Once there I opened Settings and found under the ¨Information¨ tab: Version: 7.5.1 - r30690 @ Sun Apr 25 01:02:46 PDT 2010 Hostname: rrkamd64 Server IP Address: 192.168.1.102 Server HTTP Port Number: 9000 Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux Perl Version: 5.10.1 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi MySQL Version: 5.1.41-3ubuntu12 Total Players Recognized: 0 -Which shows the server operating on 192.168.1.102, as has been the case in my experience with slimserver/squeezeboxserver etc. for some time. However, under the ¨Advanced¨ tab, ¨Security¨ selection, I found the default entry under ¨Allowed IP addresses" set by default to 192.168.1.104 Changing this to 192.168.1.102 and restarting squeezeboxserver solved my problem. I assume this is a typo that has slipped in sometime since version 7.4.2, which is the last version that did not have this problem for me. -- rkerr ------------------------------------------------------------------------ rkerr's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8784 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77925
