So after tracking down some packages and creating a couple of links to slimserver's perl modules and libssp.so.0 the service starts, though with the following warnings:
10-07-22 16:09:21.4081] main::init (323) Starting Squeezebox Server (v7.5.2, r31089, Wed Jul 21 03:04:47 MDT 2010) perl 5.012001 [10-07-22 16:09:21.4531] main::changeEffectiveUserAndGroup (887) Warning: Squeezebox Server must not be run as root! Trying user squeezeboxserver instead. 100722 16:09:21 [Warning] '--skip-locking' is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please use '--skip-external-locking' instead. 100722 16:09:21 [Warning] '--default-character-set' is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please use '--character-set-server' instead. 100722 16:09:21 [Warning] '--default-collation' is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Please use '--collation-server' instead. I'm still having two issues though. 1) Even though I can now access http://localhost:9000/ and scan my music and such, I cannot get my Duet receiver and squeezeboxserver to 'see' each other. 2) When I try to stream my music to a media player on my computer I'm getting this error in server.log: Slim::Player::Song::open (408) Error: Couldn't create command line for flc playback for [file:///home/blake/Music/Various_Artists/Top_40_Classical_Hits/16._Igor_Stravinsky_-_Firebird_Suite_-_Finale.flac] Thanks! -- Slomojo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Slomojo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39359 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80458 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
