Did you change something in convert.conf or enable bit-rate limiting for some reason? Or are you using some player other than the SB? (Ie, if you are using stream.mp3 it will need to transcode.) SBS by default streams FLAC as FLAC to SB2 and later devices and lets the device decode it.
