I have the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04. I've purged squeezeboxserver
and reinstalled it but I'm still getting messages like this in
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/server.log:
Error: DBI Connection failed: DBI
connect('hostname=127.0.0.1;port=9092;database=slimserver','slimserver',...)
failed
And in 'dmesg':

I tried disabling apparmor temporarily but I'm still getting the same
database errors, so I wonder if apparmor is a second issue.
Repeatedly running 'ps aux | grep [s]queeze' shows that
squeezeboxserver is repeatedly and constantly trying to start, but
failing each time.
Has anyone picked up any new information about this lately that might
help?
