I've been playing around on a few test systems (one F13, the other F14)
and this is what I've discovered:

1. Install from F13 works fine (this is Perl 5.10)
2. Install from F14 is broken (this is Perl 5.12)
3. The depreciation message should be informational only
4. On F14 system, the following does not load:
EV JSON::XS Digest::SHA1 YAML::Syck GD Sub::Name
5. After searching the repositories and installing packages, I've been

able to load now all except:
EV YAML::Syck
6. YAML::Syck is a bit weird to me since I've found the packages
and installed them, they still don't load
7. I get the exact same results at startup regardless of whether I use
the
Logitech RPM or the F14 specific RPM - it doesn't appear the
recompile
had any effect.
8. Perl 5.12 should be backward compatible. I wouldn't expect the
Perl
would break (at least not knowingly) a major existing codebase
9. I don't want to resort to CPAN, it can get messy when you start
applying patches outside of RPM/YUM

I'll keep searching and post my results here. If anyone has specific
test instructions you'd like me to try, let me know. This shouldn't be
a major hack to get working.

Thanks!
