EV is - perl interface to libev, a high performance full-featured event
loop; and in Fedora should be available in this RPM which I applied:
perl-Event-1.12-4.fc14 and the description refers back to
http://search.cpan.org/dist/Event/lib/Event.pod
There was the following message posted:
ALERT: Marc Lehmann may have taken over the future of event loops in
Perl. Check out his libev library and EV Perl module. 25 Aug 2009
The new code is here:
http://search.cpan.org/~mlehmann/EV-4.00/EV.pm

I would think that the old code should work fine, not sure about the
implications with Perl 5.12 - I'll post a question in Bugzilla about
this, perhaps with the upgrade to the new perl, we need this new code.

YAML::Syck should be in the RPM perl-YAML-Syck-1.07-4.fc14. The
description points here:

http://search.cpan.org/~avar/YAML-Syck/

Not sure why it isn't working now...
