Hi all,

from the link
http://vortexbox.org/forum/help/comparison-of-squeezeslave-with-vortexbox-player/

you can read: Squeezeslave:
* does not support high-resolution playback

My system is composed by an Asus eeebox running Xubuntu, USB DAC (max
16bit 48 khz) and Squeezeslave (ALSA) as the player.
Due to the limitation of my DAC I'm not able to test the hires
capability of the system but the statement above let me a little
surprised.
>From what I know Squeezeslave "simply" passes some calls to the sound
subsystem, in my case ALSA, and from what I read ALSA correctly manage
at least 24 bit 96khz files.
So I don't understand in which way Squeezeslave does not support
high-resolution playback.

Am I wrong?

Best regards,
blu
