Yes. Squeezeslave only supports 44.1Khz 16-bit stereo streams and mono for Wav/PCM, FLAC and MP3. It will only output audio to ALSA devices that support 44.1Khz sample rates. If SBS sends a stream with a different sample rate squeezeslave will happily pass it through to the audio device at 44.1 and you'll have audio that is either slower or faster than it's suppose to be. Many PC sound cards support 44.1 but resample everything to 48.0Khz internally for example the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and similiar cards. So if your amp displays the sample rate when a stream starts like my mine does, you could see 48 as the rate even though SS is pushing it to the card at 44.1
