I have been using a sb2 and classic for about 5 years. I have run slimserver/squeezecenter/squeezeboxserver on SUSE starting with 9.x. Never had any trouble with upgrades until 7.5. Most recently on opensuse 10.3, running fine until I upgraded to 7.5, and then 7.5 would not run. Tried many things but eventually downgraded to 7.4 to keep the music playing.
For various reasons I wanted to upgrade my server (also used for DNS and file sharing and backups) to opensuse 11.3, and squeezeboxserver to 7.5. Big trouble (I see). Seems that it will work, but need the nightly rpm which is nowhere to be found. Frustrating. Too bad the rpm doesn't work "out of the box" on SUSE. I think I can get it running on a virtual machine opensuse 11.2 as a temporaray workaround, but it would be nice to have the nightly rpm, us the link as posted above, and be done with it. -- mthillis ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mthillis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42595 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80458 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
