Well, regrettably...

I upgraded (*zypper dup*) to *openSUSE 11.4 RC2* yesterday. Almost
everything works, but SBS does not:

+ I've nuked, rebooted, and reinstalled 7.5.3. several times from the
Logitech site *http://www.squeezenetwork.com/download*
using the Linux (Non-Debian) RPM.

It appears in *yast2 sw_single* and YaST System Services Run level),
with *Yes** in the Enabled column. I explicitly set it to *Enabled* and
the asterisk disappears.

But running *squeezeboxserver* as *root* returns *command-not-found*.

Trying to connect to *http://127.0.0.1:9000/* fails.

Check *dmesg* for firewall activity: it is dropping *port 3483* calls
from the squeezebox even though *both UDP and TCP ports 3483 and 9000*
are enabled and both the box and the laptop and the gateway are in the
authorized group (Pilgrim). But that is the box, we should be able at
least to connect to the server.

*ping* to the box (*192.168.5.4*) and *192.168.5.7* work, although
*ping 192.168.5.7:9000* fails with *unknown host*.

Disabling the firewall and extending the local port range to include
port 9000 does not fix it.

The same version 7.5.3 *-was-* working on openSUSE 11.3.

Best regards, Andy L.
