Good morning. My log outputs are at the bottom of this post.

=====
I've spent the morning checking various things.

1. The dropped 3483 packets are a firewall thing. Disabling *guarddog*
and -enabling the openSUSE firewall with masquerading- ends the drops
and still maintains perfect stealthing being reported by:
        *https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2*

2. After a reboot *YaST System Services (Run level)* shows it with
*Yes* *in the *Enabled* column.

AN ASTERISK (*) AFTER A SERVICE STATUS MEANS THAT THE SERVICE IS
ENABLED BUT NOT RUNNING OR IS DISABLED BUT RUNNING NOW.

It has the asterisk, so needs to be started.

It is set for run levels 3 (Full multilevel with network) and 5 (Full
multilevel with network and display manager) after booting, so should
be running so I don't know why it isn't already running.

Click enable, the asterisk disappears:
        */etc/init.d/squeezeboxserver start returned 0 (success)*

but it still is not responding to the call
*http://127.0.0.1:9000/*

3. The firewall is NOT blocking either the SBS or the box. *messages*
has no messages regarding this failure and no DROPs since reconfiguring
the firewall as in (1.) above.

Cheers, Andy L
