Patience? :-)
Seriously, there is often a delay of 1-3 days in updating the debian
repos. So if you're getting 7.5.5 as the stable build even though 7.6.0
was released today, that's (unfortunately) normal. And sometimes it gets
weirder. A couple weeks ago I couldn't get 7.6.0 via apt-get because
'testing' was giving me 7.5.5 and 'unstable' was giving me the LMS
version, which I believe is now called 7.7.0.
So I suggest waiting a couple days for the repo to be updated, or doing
the manual download and install now. It's just one of those little
neglectful things, like not having verification signatures on the
debian builds ('Bug 9397'
