Hi there, Yes those figures are about right I have currently 1.19TB of music on my server 66,000 files and that equates to about 56,000 FLAC tracks. It is not a question of no money but that he has 3 x 1TB of spare disks now I know if I go the WHS route I could fit the music on with ease but I thought it might be worth exploring Ubuntu as Ive heard so much about its use with Squeezebox.
Disk we have at the moment 1 x 250GB disk with the OS on leaving 212GB of space plus 3 x 1TB empty disks and all we want Ubuntu to do is act as a music server we dont need it to store anything else or use it for any other purpose. Hope this clarifies things. Again many thanks, Tim. -- Tim-Ann ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tim-Ann's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12413 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89910
