Sorry for the "you should have known better" aspect of this post, but it
doesn't hurt to let other readers of this forum know how to avoid this
problem. Not sure if this is a RAID device, but it is worth reminding
people that RAID is NOT A BACKUP. It allows for instant access to data
should one drive fail, but both drives could easily fail. And even if
this unit is not a raid setup, having your backup drive in the same
unit is not good either. Think electrical storm, flood, fire, theft.
Best bet is a USB drive that when not being used to backup is NOT
connected to anything and better yet, stored in a different physical
location.
