Hi guys,

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

I am currently running Squeezeplay 7.5 on Linux ubuntu 11.04 natty I
am using a KingRex UC192 usb digital-to-digital converter into my
Hi-Fi DAC.

It took me a little while to get the thing working due to the default
sound config not using the USB device however the server has no onboard
sound card.

I created a asound.conf file which got the sound output to work and
have ripped all my CD to flac. Overall I am happy but I am now trying
to get 24/96k flac files to play.

if I use one of these files the music comes out all slow and distorted
and then when I try and play I normal 16/44 flac that again plays at
the wrong speed. I have to restart Squeezplay to fix this.

Now the Amp is showing a sample rate of 44khz when I first play the
24/96 file and then when I switch to a normal file the Amp shows 96khz!
This would explain while both resolutions sound wrong.

I also have VLC player installed and it seems to do a similar thing.
When I start a 24/96 flac file it plays slow but if I stop and restart
the song without closing VLC the player streams it fine and the amp
seems it as a 96khz file.

So is the problem Squeezeplay or my Linux config?

I am no expert (as you can tell) but can run so CL stuff if anyone
needs some more info.

This is my asound conf file if it helps?
