In addition to gaining automatic startup of LMS, I gained other advantages in replacing the stock OS on the PC900. Although EasyPeasy is no longer in active development, it is based on Ubuntu, which pushes out regular updates via Update Manager. Using Synaptic to install additional packages is a breeze. (For instance, I replaced the default Network-Manager with WICD.) I like the EasyPeasy desktop interface too. And I was able to reclaim significant disk space: I installed EasyPeasy on the 4gb SSD, leaving the 16gb SSD empty for use as the /home directory.
If you decide to give it a go, peacefrog, don't hesitate to message me if you get stuck. -- TimT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ TimT's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22971 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91910 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
