+1 for this issue..

I only have one init.d entry (/etc/init.d/logitechmediaserver), the
players seem to be working and I can browse music etc on the players
themselves, but the web interface is down.

Which means that I can't install plugins (e.g. BBC iPlayer) which is
the main reason I have Squeezeboxes in the first place.

Fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10, LMS v7.7.0, r33614 installed from the
source:

deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main

sudo apt-get install logitechmediaserver

Top reveals squeezeboxserver running (not logitechmediaserver)

/var/log/squeezboxserver/server.log reveals some issue with the
database, plus the fact that the player's playlist is asking for an
iPlayer channel which no longer exists after a clean reinstall:

Could this be the consequence of some half arsed marketing directive to
change the name without understanding the consequences, Logitech?

Incidentally, I also have subsonic and ninan (both of which also
require java/jetty) up and running on the same machine; until quite
recently, LMS was also working fine on exactly the same setup.

PFfff.

Cheers
Jim
