I'm looking for feedback on the maturity of the native ZFS linux port
released by LLNL. My google-fu is probably lacking but I missed reading
credible reports on this specific version, besides "you need a lot of
RAM".

A lot of spare RAM and CPU I have, to that's ok. I'd be running it on
top of Debian Squeeze (would upgrade from Lenny-backports). The
current setup uses a Dell PERC5 controller with 2 Raid 5 volumes. I
would change that to a collection of RAID 0 volumes (one per connected
drive --no JBOD mode per se on PERC5) and build storage redundancy in
ZFS.
I would be relying on NFS export of the ZFS volumes for the client
machines.

I could test all this by myself but building a representative trail
setup would require some planning. So before embarking on a perilous
journey, I'd appreciate some feedback from a few good men (or women.)

Note that I am not interested in the FUSE version. My request pertains
specifically to the zfsonlinux.org stuff.

Thanks in advance.
