I really don't know where to begin. The problems are so frequent and random. I have Ubuntu 10.04 with the latest server (7.7.1 - r33735), and a squeezebox radio with the latest firmware, whatever that is. Nearly every morning is a new experience in what is not working. Sometimes it reaches the server for music, sometimes not. Sometimes it reaches the server and streams internet radio, sometimes not. Sometimes when it does successfully stream internet radio, it has connected on its own to the squeezebox site. If I try to connect back to my server, it is sometimes successful sometimes not. Sometimes I try to logon to the server from my laptop and it works, sometimes not. If I am successful doing that, I can sometimes get the radio to work, sometimes not. I contact Logitech, and they just want me to reboot everything: router, desktop, radio and then see if it works. That often does the trick, and then they consider it solved. Really? Seriously? That is a solution? Every morning spend an hour going around rebooting everything so that I can listen to half an hour of radio?
Does anybody else have recurring connection issues like this? Is it my router? Ubuntu has been pretty stable over the past six months since I bought this disappointing radio. -- schieber ------------------------------------------------------------------------ schieber's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53534 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93083 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
