Are you using wifi exclusively ?
Do you have many neighboring wifi nets ?
Does the server shutdown at night ?
Are you using DHCP without static IP address provisioning?

Your setup loses health points every time your answer is positive…

I'd suggest you try breaking the reliability issue in smaller chunks,
applying gradual changes.  Ethernet is better than wifi, esp. for the
server. Power management can go wrong. Static DHCP is better than plain
DHCP for bother server and players. A local music playlist is more
reliable than an internet URL.
