Ah, I thought 7.7 was a major update. I don't want to start a new database as it has track ratings, etc.
I am going to install 7.7 and then copy over my db from 7.6 and see what happens. edit: Well this didn't go very well. Neither 7.7.2~33765 -or- 7.6.2~33212 will start with my db files :(. The log shows "Server died. Restarting." over and over. I don't suppose I can some how import my ratings from the old db into a "fresh" 7.7? I have trackstat backups. . .
