Woah. So the trackstat restore worked in the new 7.7, but it took me forever to notice that it had worked because I didn't have the #@_$! licence manager installed and the plugin wasn't active. It was only today that I had some time to look into it.
Now that I have the licence set up, it seems to be working and all the ratings seem to be back. Thank you guys for your help! I have another question now, and maybe it isn't appropriate to ask it in this same thread, but here goes: I am slowly replacing many tracks that were ripped as mp3s to flacs. The squeezebox server sees these as completely new tracks, instead of updates of old, which is fair enough. The trackstat plugin "restore" feature has an option to "Find alternative files" which seems to imply that it might appreciate that they are the same thing, but it doesn't seem to. I don't suppose there is any way to have the squeezebox db metadata from the mp3 files transferred to the metadata for the new flac files, is there? My old trackstat backup xml file is 14.6MB, and the new one, after updating a lot of stuff to flac, is barely 10MB, to give you an idea of how much information has been "lost". -- skibler ------------------------------------------------------------------------ skibler's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35603 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93071 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
