I had trouble with LMS on Ubuntu 12.04 and decided to move to openSUSE 12.2, running LMS on Ubuntu 10.04 in VirtualBox. It works fine, but you have to set up shared folder with your music collection to make it available for the vm. If you want automatic LMS start on boot (on the host machine) there is a bit more setup to do (service for starting/stopping virtualbox, make sure shared folders are booted on startup). Personally, I haven't bothered setting up the service, I'll probably rather install LMS natively at some point (more efficient), as I see in the forum someone got it working now on openSUSE 12.2. Good luck. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ verdemar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4392 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97296 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
