Good news that it works for you.  Do you have the usb port set to 1.1
speed (dwc_otg.speed=1)?

The wider issue is support of 1.1 devices while running the port at 480M
which can cause some packets to get lost occasionally - this is the
"split transaction issue" discussed on the pi forum here:
http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=219188#p219188.  I am
really hoping that this can be resolved by a software fix (which the
person posting this answer is working on)  Pi is great otherwise and I
would definitely recommend squeezelite and pi as a player to people -
just need to be careful about the dac used.
