I'm currently running mine with a Topping TP30 T-amp - although the integrated USB DAC is 1.1 it's working perfectly for me (or you could always add dwc_otg.speed=1 to /boot/cmdline.txt as a workaround, although this will also slug your Ethernet port...). The TP30 is pretty much identical to your Muse T-amp but with an integrated USB DAC. Not nearly "Audiophile" but great value! As with the Muse, the power draw is so minimal it could be left on - or there's a number of ideas out there to powerswitch via relays off the GPIO pins of the Pi?
I think there are also some "breadboard" combined USB DAC / T-Amp boards out there which you could build into a case alongside the Pi? try ebay or alibaba.com?
