I thought core dumps only occur if the process crashes? Even ulimit -c
unlimited brings no dump, cause squeezelite is still running (but not
showing in the server, 0-4% cpu usage). I have a ton of full debug logs
I can send; probably they make more sense to you; for me I only see the
last line I already quoted above, one exception out of 5-10 logs being

Code:
--------------------

  [22:56:24.611127] _check_lame_header:120 gapless: skip: 2257 samples: 9286872
delay: 1105 padding: 599
  [22:56:24.612878] mad_decode:179 setting track_start
[22:56:24.613229] mad_decode:196 gapless: skipping 1152 frames at start
[22:56:24.614980] mad_decode:196 gapless: skipping 1105 frames at start
  [22:56:24.714133] process:343 audg
  [22:56:24.714492] process_audg:317 audg gainL: 0 gainR: 0 adjust: 1
  [22:56:24.718521] process:343 strm
  [22:56:24.719024] process_strm:202 strm command u
  [22:56:24.719462] process_strm:247 unpause at: 165503644 now: 165384728
  [22:56:24.719771] sendSTAT:134 STAT: STMr
  [22:56:24.72

--------------------

The special thing here is the truncated line; in the other cases the
last line is complete.

I can't think of a way to check if it's still in a usable state, cause I
cannot access it via server (does not show up anymore).
I'd be glad to give further infos, but don't know what else I can get.

As a workaround, right now I'm thinking something like:

Start squeezelite with debug output -> somehow pipe this into a shell
script -> check with this script if the debug output is still flowing in
-> if not, restart squeezelite.

But I don't have anything usable right now, seems complicated in bash.
