squeezelite is reporting an actual rate of 44100.

Code:
--------------------

  [18:06:21.635054] output_init:1219 init output
  [18:06:21.635472] output_init:1261 output: hw:CARD=XFi,DEV=4 maxrate: 96000
  [18:06:21.653409] output_thread:544 open output device: hw:CARD=XFi,DEV=4
  [18:06:21.656315] alsa_open:253 opened device hw:CARD=XFi,DEV=4 using format:
S16_LE sample rate: 44100
  [18:06:21.656430] alsa_open:297 buffer time: 20045 period count: 4 buffer
size: 884 period size: 221

--------------------

Does this mean I have to fiddle with something in an ~/asound.rc to get
an actual rate of 96000, or is there an easier way of changing the
actual rate, or am I missing some library or alsa plugin or other?

If you can point at somewhere to go and look it up I'd be most grateful.
Forgive me if this has been asked before. I struggle with most things
Linux, but usually get there in the end.
