Yes it does have a simplar feature to the squeezeplay code - this does
not prevent clipping, but makes sure it clips rather than wraps round. 
So if a specific sample when scaled by replaygain and volume would
exceed the max positive or negative value for a sample, it will use the
max value.  Previous code (early squeezelite and I presume ealier slim
players) would wrap round and cause erroneous sample values.
