While I'd certainly prefer the solution described above, I'd settle for
any means of getting a version of LMS that I can be reasonably sure will
work in future versions of Linux, even if it's less-than perfect.  So on
that note, has anyone tried running the Windows version of LMS under
Wine?  Seems like it'd be worth a shot.
