Oh dear .... seem to have run into very very strange problem using the Fedora LMS application.
This is a pr4oblem which I have only noticed in the last week or so - it occurs on both the latest versions of LMS 7.8. It has taken me hours today to track down the issue - by which I mean the problem is only evident on the Cubie using Fedora. I will briefly describe the problem: 1. I added 4 new files to the music library - mp3 files at 128kps 44100. 2. Played files on Touch - files 1-3 play fine, BUT file 4 plays to end then after a moment when it stops the silence is followed by an ear-piercing burst of white noise. 3. I discovered that a single file played to the end also displays this burst of noise 4. The same file played via squeezelite to headphones out on the Cubie doesn't have noise. The file plays via VLC and a Galaxy S player without noise. If I watch the Now Playing screen on the Touch, the timeline ends, then jumps back a few seconds and stops - this seems to be associated with the noise. I setup the exact same music library on a Raspi (Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.0 - 1362754234) - no noise I used Debian on the Cubie (Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.0 - 1363340458 ) - no noise The problem appears to have arisen since 15 April - that's when I last added music and there were no problems with noise. Only music added this week recently shows the problem, and then only when it's the last file in the playlist.
