Depends on how you look at it, I guess. On paper 10% usage of a single core would be great. 90%.... Does it work. Yes. (Contrast this to when I was trying to upsample with LMS on a Pi. 2x oversampling 44k1 -> 88k2 was the best I could do in real-time without stuttering and drop-outs.) vzs wrote: > > - Do you access your music library over a network share?...or is it > possible to attach both an USB DAC (Amanero Combo384) and an external > USB drive to Wandboard? > I'm back using an nfs share for media at the moment. Trying to remember if I run the Amanero on the hub when I was testing with a USB drive.... Don't think I did. It would have been (192k max) with a WaveIO and the USB drive, both connected via the hub. I wouldn't expect an issue with the Amanero and a USB drive via a hub. If you want a definitive answer, I'll test at the weekend. A thought..... If you don't mind spending the extra bucks, wait a month for the release of the quad core Wandboard. It will give you the option of using a SATA drive for media, leaving the USB port free for the Amanero to be directly connected without a hub. The extra CPU cores (and 2GB RAM) will be a bonus. PS. Just read your posts in the other thread. I'm a big AD1865 fan as well. I currently use a pair in parallel. Been waiting for Ian to release the NOS daughter-board (DiyAudio forum), the plan being Amanero -> FIFO -> NOS daughter-board -> 2x AD1865 in differential config. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98544 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
