I am new to LMS and setup piCOPlayer the first time. I set up the LMS in Windows 7, with static IP (10.34.183.63) and firewall all disabled. Therefore, I run piCOPlayer 1.0 and type the following to give it a static IP
sudo su ifconfig eth0 10.34.183.200 netmask 255.255.255.0 up After that, I am able to remote control it by putty. Ping from and to the piCOPlayer is okay. However, the LMS could not locate the piCOPlayer. As this is the first time I use LMS, I am not sure if there is anything wrong with the settings. In order to test it, I install the SqueezePlay in another computer running Windows XP. The LMS detects the SqueezePlay right away, playback and control are all working. What were wrong? Moreover, when I connect my USB-DAC to it, it will show the following error when boot, even from a fresh piCOPlayer image amixer: unable to find simple control 'PCM', 0 What does it mean?
