Sorry for that. What I wanted you to test was simply to use the plughw
command, but without any -a settings, because I suspect that the reason
for all your music was initially played at 24_3LE was because of your -a
settings.
I know from your previous post that you had used something like: -o
plughw:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 -n piCorePlayer -a 80:4:24_3:1

So could you try:
-o plughw:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 -n piCorePlayer

and also 
-o hw:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 -n piCorePlayer
