I've seen a similiar issue with one of my USB 16-bit only DACs, the
right channel becomes distorted after a while, but not always exactly 24
hours, it's usually less.
If I use the portaudio version of squeezelite with the same setup. I
don't get the distortion.

I've found that turning the power off and on for the player using a
controller or webgui clears up the distortion.

Can you try that the next time and report back?  Also include the -a
option you're using with squeezelite, if any.
