No, view the kernel booting via a serial console connected to the serial
port on another PC. ie. using screen (on a Linux PC) or an equivalent
terminal program on Windows. (Sorry, haven't used Windows for years.
Hyperterminal, I think it used to be called.) At the point it isn't
booting or gets stuck, you'd be able to see why.

/var/log/kernel and /var/log/messages. First is specific to kernel,
second is "general" system, but specifically it will show systemd
messages from starting services, late in the boot process.
