No, view the kernel booting via a serial console connected to the serial port on another PC. ie. using screen (on a Linux PC) or an equivalent terminal program on Windows. (Sorry, haven't used Windows for years. Hyperterminal, I think it used to be called.) At the point it isn't booting or gets stuck, you'd be able to see why. No. ChrisMmm wrote: > Put the SD card in my PC to view thinking a log may be recoreded there. > Is root/var/log/boot.log the right place to look? I will reboot and see if any additional messages are in the log > after that. /var/log/kernel and /var/log/messages. First is specific to kernel, second is "general" system, but specifically it will show systemd messages from starting services, late in the boot process. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JackOfAll's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
