Prior to this problem the log was only a couple of MB - it was the
Jivelite issue that made it so huge with many entries a second. Also the
syslogd daemon was consuming a lot of CPU which is probably what made
the WB sluggish.

No - this appears to have been a one off occurrence.  I don't recall
seeing anything like it previously and I have just checked the log again
after restarting Jivelite.

No idea why it happened - I wasn't using the Jivelite interface or LMS
(or the Wandboard at all for that matter) when the problem started. 

BTW I am using the latest 'stable' version of Jivelite not the 'testing'
version.
