thanks. but the reality is virtualised debian VMs running squeezelite
work fantastically well. The only issue I have is when I connect an
Android device into the sync group. Originally I used to run squeezelite
natively under windows but the issue I had was that the portaudio
version (that runs under windows) did not maintain sync over time -
since I switched to Debian VMs under VMware workstation I have no sync
issues between multiple VMs on different physical machines, so it's just
the sync to the android device that the issue is. It's an easy one to
reproduce. I don't suspect squeezelite to be the cause - I suspect the
issue is the different way android squeeze clients are integrated into
android alsa. But the configuration could be common enough if it worked
properly.
