Ok, but I'm thinking it might not have anything to do with LMS. If squeezelite is the client, on the same hardware as LMS, and by default --localfile is enabled, (which it is by default), LMS is just giving squeezelite a URL for the file rather than streaming it.... Whcih takes LMS out of the equation. (So it might have nothing to do with LMS at all.) Could be something to do with the localfile functionality in squeezelite, maybe specific to wav file playback. (Maybe something crazy, like you have tags at the end of the wav file and squeezelite is playing them as PCM samples.....)
