X86 32 bit installation. Just did a "emerge --sync", "layman -s ALL".
Running perl-5.16.3. No logitechediaserver-bin installed:

% emerge -vp media-sound/logitechmediaserver-bin

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Can someone please explain what is should expect ? This is a bit more
confusing now because the posts before claim that the latest 7.7.3
version now supports perl-5.16.

So, lets assume i wanted to install 7.7.2-r2 which supposedly does not
support perl-5.16, right ? Could install this onto a gentoo system with
perl-5.16 installed ?

Is it possible to set up different "slots", one for 5.12 (aka: the
latest one supported by the installed version of LMS), and another one
for the main version of perl used by everything else in the system ?

If The lms-bin installation can not use a separate version of perl than
what's running otherwise on the ssytem, i am not sure how useful it is
long-term, because i can't see that logitech would want to continue
tracking newer perl-versions for what effectively is a dead product
(LMS).
