Yes, the generic snd-usb-audio driver, just as I'd expect with a XMOS
chipset.

DSD files.... You haven't set the DoP flag, for DoP output, have you? By
default you should get PCM output of DSD files, re-sampled to a rate
that your USB->SPDIF converter supports.

176k4/24..... Have you tried increasing the default ALSA buffer/period.
Often helps with the higher sample rates. From the web-gui, try putting
"35280:8820::" in the ALSA PARAMS field on the web-gui squeezelite
config page, "Save and Conditionally restart". Does that help?
