I've managed to test F20 with the stock Fedora kernel and prerelease
3.13 together with my mytek DAC and UAC2 compatible DAC.
Here are my findings:
Stock Fedora (3.12.6-300).
- UAC2 compatible DAC, everything works OK. Including highres and DSD
DoP output
- Mytek with my Mytek driver (packaged by Clive), Everything works OK,
including highres and DSD DoP output(*)
(*) For DoP output to work properly (without interruptions) a had to
remove the ALSA buffer parameters I use for my Marantz DAC DoP output
Prerelease (3.13.0-0.rc8.git1.2.1.cs)
- UAC2 compatible DAC, everything works OK. Including highres and DSD
DoP output
- Mytek with mytekusb2 driver, hard lockup when trying to play (**)
(**) Not sure if the lockup is caused by kernel 3.13rc8 in general or
only applicable for ARM. Needs more investigation
F20 on Wandboard with squeezelite keeps playing happily while a 'yum
update' job is running! This was not possible with the F19 with 3.0.35
kernel.
