I am assuming the the module loaded for the HifiBerry DAC are not really
specific to that DAC board or even to the PCM5102A chip on it. I am
guessing the modules (drivers?) are actually generic for use with any
DAC chip connected via I2S using the same data format. That means the
PCM5210A, ES9023 type chips (which I think will be the most common of
DAC chips on the market) using that same I2S format are all covered by
this module. Am I correct in that assumption?

Now I have this working I am thinking of building a single box housing
RasprberryPi, DAC board and power supply. I would like to understand
which DACs would be good candidates for this, i.e. should work with the
existing modules.
